In this Photoshop Tutorial I will show you how to create Wooden Buttons. I think these buttons look really cool. They have a smooth look to them. You can create more that one button by duplicating the original button once you have applied the effects to it. I will explain this tutorial in detail so that the new Photoshop users can create this button too.
How to Create Wooden Buttons in Photoshop
Create a new canvas. Click File > New to create a new canvas. Create it 400 pixels by 400 pixels. You can crop it once you are done. Set the background color to white and click OK.
Next we will need to create a New Layer. Click the icon in the bottom of your Photoshop window that looks like a sheet of paper to create a new layer. Press F7 on your keyboard if you do not see your Layers Panel. You can also click Layer > New > Layer at the top of your Photoshop window to create a new layer. Which ever is more convenient for you.
Select your Rectangle Tool from your toolbar and draw a rectangle for your button on the canvas. You can draw the button whatever size you want. Once we have applied the effects to this button, you can duplicate more from this button. Instead of applying the effects to each button.
Left click on the Shape Layer to highlight it. Right click on the Shape Layer and click Rasterize Layer from the pop up menu. Rasterizing your layer will make the edges smooth. Right click on the Shape Layer again and click Blending Options. Your Blending Options window will open and you will need to apply the following effects to the button.
Note: Make sure that you click on the words so that you can see the options for that effect.

Click OK on the Blending Options window. Now your button should look like the one that I have in my image.
You can create more buttons by right clicking on the Shape Layer and clicking Duplicate Layer. Click OK on the pop up box. Then grab your Move Tool from the toolbar and move your button to where you want it. When you duplicate the button, the duplicated button will be directly on top of the original button. Once you have duplicated all of your buttons that you need, you can add your text. I used the following text options.
Font - Victorian LET
Size - 21
Color - # 635137
